Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

6 large eggs

1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh fruits (like berries or sliced bananas, for serving)

Maple syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or an oven-safe baking dish in the oven to heat up.

Make the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, milk, eggs, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk together until the batter is smooth and well combined. Make sure there are no lumps.

Prepare the Skillet: Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven, and add about 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Swirl it around until the skillet is evenly coated and the butter is melted.

Pour in the Batter: Pour the pancake batter into the hot, buttered skillet, ensuring it spreads evenly.

Bake: Return the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges puff up and turn golden brown.

Serve: Remove the baked pancake from the oven. It will deflate slightly as it cools. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with fresh fruits and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Enjoy: Slice into wedges and enjoy your delicious fluffy German pancake!
