Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornmeal

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Pat the salmon pieces dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness. Season with salt and pepper.

Coat the Salmon: In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, and garlic powder. Dredge the salmon pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off excess flour.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.

Fry the Salmon: Carefully add the coated salmon pieces to the skillet in a single layer. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Heat over medium-low until bubbling, stirring occasionally for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Toss and Serve: In a large bowl, gently toss the crispy salmon bites with the honey garlic sauce until well coated. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with sliced green onions.

Enjoy: Serve immediately as an appetizer or main dish with rice or a side salad.
