Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 stalk celery, diced

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 hamburger buns

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, green bell pepper, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Cook the Chicken: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground chicken to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it's browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Mix in the Sauces: Lower the heat to medium and stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce (if using). Mix well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Taste and Adjust: Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can adjust the Cajun seasoning or hot sauce depending on how spicy you want your Sloppy Joes.

Assemble the Sandwiches: Toast the hamburger buns lightly if desired. Spoon a generous portion of the Cajun chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as coleslaw or potato chips.
