Ingredients

12 large pasta shells

1 cup ricotta cheese

1.5 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 cups marinara sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and the beaten egg. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and all ingredients are evenly combined.

Stuff the Shells: Take each pasta shell and carefully fill it with approximately 2 tablespoons of the spinach and ricotta mixture. Place the stuffed shells seam side up in a baking dish.

Add Marinara Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
