Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust according to spice preference)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more intense flavor.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Grill the Chicken: Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the marinade. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

Rest and Slice: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. Slice the chicken into strips for serving.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the spicy honey-lime chicken on a platter, garnished with chopped fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side. Enjoy it with a side of rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
