Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 whole wheat burger buns

Optional toppings: sliced avocado, tomato, and lettuce

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form Patties: Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the burgers are golden brown.

Toast the Buns: In the same skillet, lightly toast the whole wheat burger buns for about 1-2 minutes until they are golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers: Place each chicken patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Top with avocado slices, tomato, and lettuce if desired. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Serve immediately while hot with your choice of side, such as sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
