Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for binding)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and your choice of condiments for serving

Instructions

Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs (if using), minced garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Preheat the Skillet: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken patties.

Cook the Patties: Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on one side until they are golden brown. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes on the other side until fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

Prepare the Buns: While the patties are cooking, you can toast the whole wheat burger buns on a separate skillet or under the broiler until lightly golden.

Assemble the Burgers: Place each cooked patty on a toasted bun. Top with your choice of lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and condiments. Feel free to add extra cheese if desired!

Serve: Enjoy your delicious White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers hot with your favorite sides like sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
